Our labels for Botanica wines. The name of the wine and design of the labels inspired Mary Delany’s work, a remarkable series of botanical collages that are beautifully crafted with hundreds of tiny pieces of cut paper. Mary was 72 when she created these pieces in the late 1700’s and the use of some of her work was licensed to create these labels with her art as the primary focal point.

We chose to put the collages as protagonists of the label and in second term the name of the wine in a classic typography combined with hand written numbers for harvest year.

The same idea will be used for Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Bordeaux blend with other botanical prints by the same artist but different flower for each variety. In addition we used old botanical drawings printed on an elegant dark warm gray background for the wrapping tissue paper for these bottles.
